The collection contains Mulder's files on the Hope College Archives, three copies of Bubbles (a literary magazine), and information on the Hope College class of 1916. Biography

Janet B. Mulder graduated from Hope College in 1916. After graduation she took a position as an English teacher at Holland High School and held that position for 33 years. While teaching, Mulder also took graduate courses at the Universities of Chicago, Wisconsin, and Michigan. In 1952, Mulder became a librarian assistant and archivist at Hope College. She became Hope College’s first full-time archivist in 1963 and remained in that position until her retirement in 1968. Mulder was a member of Hope Reformed Church (and sang in the church choir) and Delta Kappa Gamma International (a graduate educational society).

Abstract

Mulder was a member of the class of 1916 and an English teacher at Holland High School. She was also a library assistant and archivist at Hope College from 1952 to 1968. The collection contains biographical information, correspondence, photographs, class outlines, her Hope College Archivist nameplate, and Boomerang yearbooks with student comments. Also, correspondence and clippings from the Class of 1916 are included.
