This collection consists mainly of books associated with the Netherlands and the Dutch language. Included are translation work, a grammar book, a book dealing with Dutch sympathies in the Boer War, a history of windmills, and music books. The collection also includes an early photograph of the Knickerbocker Fraternity at Hope College.

Biography
Helena H. M. Roelofs was born in 1890. She later graduated from Hope College in 1914 and served as an assistant professor of French at Ripon College, Ripon, Wisconsin.
Helena Roelofs Gill died in Houston, Texas, in 1975 at the age of 85.
