Biography
Donald Fowler Brown received his education at Wheaton College (A.B., 1932), and the University of Illinois (M.A., 1933 and Ph.D., 1935). He taught Spanish at several colleges and universities before joining the Spanish Department at Hope College in 1949. In 1935, he married Alice Emmert and had five children. He resigned from his position at Hope in 1961.
