Scope and Contents
The records consist of correspondence, agendas and minutes of church organizations, member records and history. Consistory records are RESTRICTED for 30 years. Some unusual records are newspaper articles and obituaries of some Grace people, several wedding bulletins and the church newsletter, Grace Highlights, is complete from the beginning. Photos of building committees and consistories, Sunday School, choirs, new members and photos from the 25th anniversary book of Rev. and Mrs. Dick Vriesman. Folders are arranged alphabetically.

History
Grace Reformed Church held its first worship service on June 17, 1962, at Glerum School on Lakewood Boulevard, and was officially organized in November 1962. A parsonage was built in 1963. The new church was built at the corner of 136th and Riley, and dedicated in October 1964. The church flourished and consequently required more space. An addition was completed and dedicated in November 1983. The church name was changed to Grace Community Church in 2004.
Grace Reformed Church has offered women’s groups, Sunday School, youth ministries, Cadets and Calvinettes, choirs and children’s worship to enrich the lives of all its members, young and old.
Pastors who served Grace Reformed are the Reverends Henry Zylstra (1963-1971); Dick Vriesman (1972-1978); Folkert (Red) Faber (1979-1990); Steven Rusticus, Associate Pastor, (1986-1991); Ed Veldhuizen (1991-1992); Rick Veenstra, Interim Pastor, (1992-1993); David Bruininks (1994-1998), Rev. Dr. Frederick (Rick) Eschenburg (1993-2001), Matt Yount, Director of Youth Ministries (1992-2000), Curt Shosten, Director of Youth Ministries (2001-2002); and Rev. Roger Grandia, Interim Pastor (2000-2002); and Rev. Paul Schmidt, Minister of Visitation (1991-2004). Presently the church is by Rev. Ted Lindman (2002- ).
