This collection consists of papers, meeting minutes, newspaper articles, and materials relating to the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council, which encourages cooperation among 13 neighboring units of government on area-wide issues. The collection is organized alphabetically and chronologically.

History
The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council (MACC) is a Metropolitan Planning Organization; the designated local decision-making body that is responsible for carrying out the transportation planning process. The MACC has also addressed area-wide concerns such as environmental issues, crime prevention, community communications, and housing and quality of life issues. The actions of the MACC are guided by more than 250 local volunteers serving on various committees.
