Biography

Robert Louis Reinking graduated from Colorado College in 1963 with a B.S. degree. He received his M.A. degree from the University of Illinois in 1965 and his Ph.D. from the same institution in 1967.

From 1967 to 1970, he served as an assistant professor at Texas Tech University and, in 1970, joined the faculty of Hope College as an assistant professor of geology. He was made an associate professor in 1973 and was appointed chairman of the department in 1980, in which capacity he served until his death in 1982.
